Board of Governors

Calcutta International School is run by the Calcutta International School Society. The management of the affairs of the Calcutta International School Society, and the School, rests with the Board of Governors.

The BOG consists of twelve elected members of the parent body. Members of the BOG are elected for a two-year term by the members of the Calcutta International School Society, who are parents of the current CIS students. The officers of the Board, namely the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary, are elected by the Board of Governors from amongst themselves.

The BOG, in consultation with the Senior Leadership team of the School, governs the school by framing policies for the school’s operations and the school plan, overseeing the school’s financial operations and the annual budget, and doing all other work necessary to establish and operate a formal education program to set out the general mode of conduct and practices in the school in line with / contributing to the general CIS goals and objectives.
