Reflecting on our legacy and moving forward
The journey of Calcutta International School began with a deeply personal vision. A British family wanted to provide their sons with quality education in their Lee Road bungalow. As their vision grew, so did their community, which led to the establishment of the King's House School and the appointment of Miss Barth as Principal. The school grew and welcomed more families. In 1970 the school was rebranded and registered as the Calcutta International School.
- 1953: Established as King’s House School in Lee Road informally known as Ms Barth’s School.
- 1970: Rebranded to Calcutta International School.
- 2006: Expanded operations to the Anandapur campus.
- 2024: School redevelopment with expanded state of the art facilities.
- An illustrious journey of 70+ years: From 2 students to 700+ students
