Libraries

The CIS library is a hub for young readers, fostering a lifelong love of reading. From adventure stories and encyclopaedias to subject-specific texts, it offers something for every student.

Class libraries in the Junior School ensure easy access to age-appropriate books, supporting daily reading habits. A wide range of regional and foreign language books—available in both the library and language rooms—enhances cultural awareness and language learning.

With 24/7 Wi-Fi, students also explore digital resources, blending traditional reading with modern research skills.

Art Room

At CIS, we believe that every student possesses an innate artistic talent. Our art room serves as a nurturing environment for aspiring artists, providing opportunities for exploration, experimentation, and exhibition. Students from Classes 9 and 10, as well as those in A-level and IBDP, regularly engage in creative work in this inspiring space as they develop their artistic journeys.

• Foundation in Classic Techniques: Students begin with traditional drawing and painting, mastering fundamental skills before progressing to contemporary styles.
• Creative Exploration: Students experiment with diverse media and techniques, developing their own artistic voices across both classic and modern approaches.
• Conceptual Depth: Students delve into the world of composition, exploring themes, ideas, and their own artistic visions.
• Multidimensional Art: Students engage in creating both 2D and 3D works, including collage, assemblage, installation art, and new media, discovering their full creative potential.
• Practical Skills: The curriculum includes graphic design, printmaking, clay modelling, packaging, and model making, equipping students with valuable practical skills.
• Theoretical Understanding: Students explore art history, study various artistic genres, and develop skills in art critique and curatorial practices.

Science Labs

CIS boasts four well-equipped science laboratories: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and a General Lab which empowers our students to become future scientists, engineers, and innovators. These labs are equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities, meeting international standards set by Cambridge and IBDP.

Computer Labs

The Junior ICT Lab is dedicated to our young learners of Grades 1 to 5, features 24 all-in-one desktops, providing a stimulating and interactive learning environment. 

The Senior ICT Lab is equipped with updated laptops and desktops, catering to the needs of students in classes 6 to 12, enabling them to engage with Robotics, Coding, develop AI models, work on passion projects and build apps, websites and much more.

Infirmary

At CIS, the health and well-being of our students are of utmost importance. Our on-campus infirmary is a well-equipped, modern facility designed to provide prompt and compassionate medical care. Staffed by a qualified nurse, the infirmary offers immediate attention to students in need, whether for minor ailments or short-term rest.

The facility is stocked with essential medical supplies, including first aid kits, medications, and necessary equipment to handle day-to-day health concerns. A dedicated rest area with comfortable beds ensures that unwell students have a quiet and safe place to recover.

In the event of a medical emergency, CIS maintains a close partnership with Fortis Hospital to ensure that students have quick access to advanced care when needed.

Language Room

The Language Rooms at CIS are thoughtfully designed to support the learning of both regional and foreign languages. Equipped with age-appropriate books, teaching aids, and digital tools, these spaces provide an engaging and immersive environment for effective language acquisition. Through storytelling, role play, and project-based learning, students develop their speaking, reading, and writing skills. A carefully curated collection of multilingual books further deepens their appreciation of regional traditions and global cultures.

Indoor Games Room

The school has a well-equipped Indoor Games Room for students to engage in a variety of recreational and wellness activities.  Mats and a quiet, clean space are available for group yoga practice, freehand exercises and aerobics. The indoor games area is equipped with two full-sized table tennis setups, complete with paddles and balls, along with chess and carrom boards to encourage both casual play and skill development. Additionally, the room serves as a venue for Table Tennis and Western Dance ECA lessons, supporting students’ physical development and creative expression.

Tot Lot

The school features a safe and vibrant designated play area specially designed for the primary students. This space is thoughtfully equipped with age-appropriate play equipment that encourages physical activity, social interaction, and imaginative play. Soft flooring, colourful structures and engaging outdoor games help create a joyful and secure environment where children can explore, play, and grow.

Audio Visual Room

The Audio-Visual (AV) Room is a dynamic learning and presentation space equipped with modern multimedia technology. Designed to enhance both teaching and communication, it serves as a hub for interactive learning and professional development.

Outfitted with projectors, surround sound systems, a digital screen, and internet connectivity, the AV Room provides an immersive environment for students and educators alike. It supports a range of activities including:  

Inter-school Meets: Hosting competitions, collaborations, and educational exchanges with other institutions.
Conferences & Workshops: Facilitating staff development programs, guest lectures, and training sessions.
Events & Presentations: Providing a professional setting for project displays, cultural programs, and club activities.
School Assemblies: Enabling multimedia presentations and important announcements in an engaging format.

Music Room

The Music Room at CIS is a vibrant and creative space where students are encouraged to explore rhythm, melody, and musical expression. Equipped with a variety of instruments such as the piano, electronic keyboards, drums and guitars, the room caters to both group sessions and individual practice. Regular music lessons are conducted for every grade, where students engage in singing, instrumental practice, and movement-based activities that enhance their musical understanding and creativity.

This space also serves as the base for the school choir and the ECA vocals and guitar lessons, offering students opportunities to rehearse and perform at various school events. As an extension of the music curriculum, the choir fosters teamwork, confidence, and a lifelong love for vocal music.

The Music Room features well-designed stage acoustics, enhancing sound quality during rehearsals and performances, and creating an immersive environment for musical learning and appreciation.
