Calcutta International School values physical and emotional safety of all stakeholders of the community.
To ensure that the school meets the legal mandates of the country, namely the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) 2013, and The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, we have well rounded POSH and POCSO policies which are overseen by dedicated POSH and POCSO committees. These committees are responsible for addressing incidents that come within the ambit of the respective Acts, and determines the necessary outcomes, prioritizing the safety and dignity of the complainants involved.
Additionally, each member of the teaching and non-teaching staff undergoes periodic trainings and sensitization sessions on POSH and POCSO so that we are aligned with the same.
Our Child Protection Policy further enforces necessary measures to create an environment wherein each child is nurtured with care, sensitivity, respect and empathy.
