Head of School's Note
I believe great schools do more than prepare students for examinations, they help young people discover who they are, develop their potential and build the confidence, resilience and compassion to shape the world around them.
As I begin my journey as Head of School at Calcutta International School, my vision is to build on its rich legacy while creating an even more dynamic, inclusive and future-ready learning community. I believe every child is unique, and learning must therefore be purposeful, personalised and balanced, bringing together academic excellence, well-being, emotional intelligence, creativity and real-world relevance.
My leadership approach is collaborative, transparent and evidence-informed. I am committed to empowering educators, building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Our priorities will be to strengthen student well-being and academic excellence, nurture global-mindedness and intercultural understanding, embrace innovation, and deepen meaningful partnerships with families and the wider community.
Together, we will nurture confident, ethical and compassionate young people who are empowered to become lifelong learners and thoughtful leaders, ready not only to thrive in a changing world, but to help shape a better one.
